As a church family, Mill City desires to see children be brought up to love the gospel and know Jesus.  We have developed our children’s ministry – Kid City – to put the cookies on the bottom shelf.  We aim to present the gospel in a way that is easy to digest for the children in our church body, while fostering their growth in community with each other.  As an added bonus, providing an age-appropriate environment for children allows parents to be fully engaged in our Gatherings.  If you want to know more, please feel free to check out the parent guide below or email us.

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of activities will my child be participating in? Kid City will provide age appropriate activities for all children. We believe even the smallest children can learn. All lessons are reinforced with songs, play, and supervised activities designed with the ability of the children in mind.

How can I volunteer at Kid City? There are many positions in Kid City available for you to serve. These include greeting families, teaching, set-up & tear down, and simply playing with the children. Also, know that ALL Kid City volunteers must be missionary members and must go through a S.L.E.D. background check.

I'm having a baby soon. Can you guys help out with that? We love equipping Community Groups to care for families with newborns. Let us know you will be visiting, along with any concerns you might have, and we will do our best to equip both you and your community group.

What should I bring for my child? Depending on the age of your child, be sure to bring diapers, pacifiers, a change of clothes, and a bottle of milk, formula, juice, or water. To help us keep track of your items, please label all personal items with your child's first and last names before arriving.

What happens when I arrive? When you reach the Kid City check-in area, you will be greeted by a Kid City Volunteer. There, you will sign in your child and provide us some information about your child. A name tag will be assigned to your child with a number. You will receive a matching number to keep during the Gathering to turn in when you pick up your child.

Who will be taking care of my child? Kid City is run by volunteers committed to having fun, helping your child grow, and teaching about Jesus. Each volunteer has undergone a thorough interview process and has passed a S.L.E.D. background check prior to becoming a Kid City volunteer.
